Lori, I wanted to stop by and say hello. Mike is still in Tech School, how is doing? I am sure he is doing well. How are you doing?

David is doing well, we just heard that he has been transferred to another squadron and will not be deployed this time. Good news! He will be able to be there for the birth of his first child.

My oldest son, Paul, is out to sea on a couple week training cruise. It is tough having both boys in the military but we are hanging in.

You take care.

Lori, Thanks for asking. David is doing fine. Next month he will be in the Air Force 5 years. He and his wife are expecting their first child due in August. We are very excited, Jane and my first grandchild. His unit will be deployed soon but due to him having been diagnosed with asthma he has been put on the back up list and it looks as if he will not be going. If he does end up going he will miss the birth of his child. We pray that he will not have to go this time. Yes I am very proud of him. And would say that you are just as proud of Mike.

How is Mike doing? I am thinking he is still in Tech School, am I correct in thinking that?

Hi there, Lori. My name is Lesa and my son is 18. He graduates high school in May, then goes off to BMT shortly after. I'd love to hear your perspective on your son's journey. I am a nervous wreck, but have found great comfort with my "Air Force Dads" friends. Welcome!

Lori, “Welcome to the Blue”. I am glad that you have joined us. I started Air Force Dads to help support and encourage parents and family members, girlfriends and boyfriends, of young men and woman who have or are going to join the Air Force. Please feel free to look around the site and get involved with the groups and discussions that are going on. Maybe start one of your own. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. He is slated to deploy this Spring. Please thank Mike for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a fine young man.
