- I raised Brandon and his older brother by myself after I divorced their dad when they were very young. . I remarried when Brandon was in High School so thats why our last names are different. My sons are my life . My new husband and I farm and work full-time jobs but I am currently laid-off. I enjoy horseback riding and cooking.

- What were your feelings when your Airman joined the Air Force?
- I was very pround but very nervous and scared at the same time. When I went to see him graduate at Lackland Air Force base in Texas, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. He has been in the Air Force for two years now. He is stationed in Germany and just got back to Germany from a tour in Iraq. I was very scared while he was in Iraq but I knew he was doing what he loves to do

I had the awesome opportunity of going to Germany
I went to Germany only to find that the boy I knew who joined the military had become a man! He took me around the countryside of Germany and showed me the culture, castles and even how to use Euros! I felt so proud of my son actually educating his mom on another culture and way of life that I had never seen before and wouldnt have seen if he hadnt gone into the Air Force! He took care of me instead of the opposite! It was an eye opening experience that I will never forget

Please feel free to look around the site and get involved with the groups and discussions that are going on. Maybe start one of your own. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago, and is stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB N.C. Please thank Brandon for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet.
Kimberly, you have my utmost respect for raising your two boys yourself I know it was not easy. You and your new husband have my respect for being farmers. My mother was raised on a farm in Arkansas. You hang in there and keep your head held high.
