Describe a little about yourself: Im a mother of three and my oldest wants to join the airforce when he comes of age so I love to go into all different sites to get info and read about other airforce personnel to give him info he love to be a pilot one day and I just loved this site

I started Air Force Dads to help support and encourage parents and family members of young men and woman who have or are going to join the Air Force. Please feel free to look around the site and get involved with the groups and discussions that are going on. Maybe start one of your own. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. He is slated to deploy this Spring. Betzaida this is a great place to start for a young man or woman. There are folks here that can answer your questions. Please feel free to ask any question you have about the Air Force.

CAP is supposed to be like rotc but it's not a school thing. from what i've heard it's kinda like being in the boyscouts but more airforce/military oriented. i never participated in CAP but when i was younger i had a friend who did and if i'm not mistaken it is recognized by our armed forces when an individual goes to enlist. i know there's one down here in sarasota somewhere.

I am not sure where you are Betzaida but there are CAP units all across the country. Look around your area I would think that there would be one in your area. I do think that his time in CAP would count when he entered the Air Force, which is one of the things I will check on.
