Hi Barbara. I couldn't respond to your discussion because of a cliche but yes I still remember. Maybe it is because my son is in the Navy and he was so proud showing us where the Sailors stayed in Great Lakes at boot camp. They still have those old buildings standing on the property as a memorial to them. He was proud to walk on the same ground as those Sailors that sacrificed it all. My son just ported in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago and said it was something else pulling into Pearl Harbor. I know our Navy has much respect for what happened in Pearl Harbor and they will never let those kids forget about what happened to their fellow Sailors. It was a dark day in our history and should never be forgotten. Thanks for reminding me to think of all those who gave their lives in that historic battle. They will all be in my prayers tonight.

Barb, “Welcome to the Blue”. I am glad that you have joined us. I appreciate your support of the site, David and our troops in general. I still have some work to do on the site to help it grow but my good friend E.G. has been guiding me along and continues to help in a big way. If you get a moment check out navydads.com E.G. started that one and it is doing well. Helping parents with the rollercoaster ride of boot camp and beyond. I read your e-mail and you are very welcome. Can’t wait to see you at Thanksgiving.
