Thanks for commenting and welcoming. Well, yes, I am so proud of my son! What a commitment he has made even if it's just his second week in basic. I heard from him on Thanksgiving and he said it was very intense but, pushing on! I can only…

Here's hoping Taelor will make you proud! It was tough for me to let my two sons sign up for the military too. Since then, I've changed my mind. I can see that it has been good for them both. Welcome to the site!

Ani, “Welcome to the Blue”. I am glad that you have joined us. I started Air Force Dads to help support and encourage parents and family members, girlfriends and boyfriends, of young men and woman who have or are going to join the Air Force. Please feel free to look around the site and get involved with the groups and discussions that are going on. Maybe start one of your own. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago, and is stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB N.C. Please thank Taelor for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet.
I apologize for taking so long to welcoming you to this site.
