That is okay Lesa, I would cry too. I was not there for David’s swearing in but I cried a few times at his graduation.

It is funny. I assumed I would be sad for awhile after he left, but I feel so positive about what he is doing. He was so confident and happy at MEPS before he left, I knew he had made a great decision.
Lesa: I have a pretty similar photo of my son Rob and me after the oath ceremony at MEPS last July. I cried, too. But just as you said, they are so confident and happy in their decision and thrilled to actually be on the path that it is impossible to feel too sad.
I have meant to post photos of Rob's graduation for ages now (he graduated basic on 9/25), but life seems so busy that I haven't posted anything. I will get to that though. The graduation is a wonderful, emotional experience ~ we were in San Antonio from the Wednesday night through Sunday afternoon of his graduation week. People in San Antonio were wonderful and so supportive of the people in uniform. It was heartwarming to see complete strangers walk up to Rob and thank him for his service. Also it was great when he scored us free drinks at a restaurant along the River Walk!!
