I have a question about the Blue Star Banners. My daughter is only in Basic, but a friend of ours asked when we were going to get a Blue Star Banner for our window. Don't you display one of these banners when your military daughter/son/wife/husband/etc. is serving in the actual war conflict?

Wally, first let me apologize for not asking your question sooner but Lynette has done a great job in giving you an answer.

She is correct. The Air Force will take very good care of your son. My son got sick during boot but not sick enough to be sent back in training. But if it is need they will take him out of training until he can return to training. As Lynette said they will put him back in were he had left off. Now that will mean his graduation date will change but you will be notified of any change in dates. The Air Force wants your son to graduate and they want you to be at the graduation so they will do all they can to have both happen. Please keep us up to date as to what is happening and if you have any more questions please ask.

My son graduated about 2 years ago and I had asked him this question. He said if it was a minor illness like the person was out 1 day they stayed in the flight, something more serious they were moved to "sick" flight and when the person was well enough to continue training they were put in a flight that was at the training point they had left at.

My son is in his fourth week of air force boot , and he got sick, I do not know what his sickness is ? Do you know what happens when some one get sick during boot camp ? Do they stay in the dorm ? Go somewhere to get medical treatment ? Will this push back their graduation ? Any information you can give me regrading this would be great.

Thanks, Wally
