New Dad

Just wanted to say I'm glas that I found out about this site. I'm sure it will be helpful to me and I hope I can be of assistance to others as well.

I'm new as well. My son just reported at Lackland today for Basic, then on to PJ indoc. Looking for any resources that I can get access to help me keep up to date.

Mr. Wasson,

The information is very limited while at Lackland, however there will be photos posted on the Lackland AFB website. I can tell you that your son will be very well taken care of (yes even during basic). If I can locate any additional info. I will post.

Thank you Ralph for your prompt reply.

My family (Dad, brother & sister) are pretty much U.S. Navy folks, so I'm kind of on my own. I've noticed that many of these posts are pretty old. Have folks shifted to other sites?

I've also heard that families often set up Facebook sites dedicated to the specific flight their son/daughter is assigned. I hope that is the case with mine.

If you know of anyone in Boot Camp, or Leaving Soon for Boot Camp, go to http://callsforrecruits.org/ and Get FREE phone cards for them to use. Loved ones or the Recruits should NOT have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp…and now they Don't!!
