Got first base assignment!

Michael called Friday to let us know he was assigned to Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. We are from North Idaho almost to the Canadian border and I had to get our globe out of the closet to see where Nebraska was! We had all hoped he would be a little closer. He really wants to take his truck and motorcycle to the base.

Later today he called and said that most of his buddies at Tech School were going to Minot, ND so he is going to try and switch assignments with a guy that does not want to go to Minot. Crazy stuff!

Minot is about a 14 hour drive from home, however, it is literally in the middle of nowhere! I guess I have to realize that he is responsible for this decision, but it is soooooo hard! Anybody heard anything good about Minot to help me with this.
